With very few exceptions, almost all grinding sludges are briquettable. Recovery alone of up to 50% of expensive cutting fluids makes RUF briquetting systems a viable, economically and ecologically sound recycling solution. Since the grinding oil or emulsion is not subject to any thermal stress during the briquetting process, it is not degraded and can be reused in the production process. Briquetted sludge also reduces hauling and storage costs and can be remelted.
