Stamping
The Best in the Industry
Most Canadian stamping plants rely on Mayfran conveyor equipment to keep their presses running 24/7, far more than any other brand. And with good reason as Mayfran systems have proven themselves year after year here in Canada, with many still running 30 or 40 years later. Stampers know that a reliable scrap system is critical because without it the presses stop running.
Coil Slitting
The Mayfran Advantage
On today’s high-speed slitter lines, scrap choppers can generate an enormous amount of scrap. Mayfran’s expertise in this industry ensures that your conveyor is properly customized to meet the demand based on factors such as line speed, scrap size, material gauge and angle of incline.
Depending on the layout of your system, a single Hinged Steel Belt Conveyor can be provided, or combined with a robust Shuffle Conveyor, and a Distribution Chute to load the scrap into bins.
Aluminum Extrusion
The Mayfran Advantage
Mayfran hinged steel belt conveyors are perfectly suited for dealing with the heavy, high-temperature butts and billets generated by aluminum extrusion presses. Custom design features include reinforced belting, extra-thick side wings, heavy-duty cleats, chain lubricators, and load bars to limit deflection of the belt under impact.
Mayfran can work closely with your engineers when designing the machine foundation, transfer chute, and electrical controls to ensure your conveyor will be rugged, reliable, and maintenance friendly.
Die-Casting and Forging
The Mayfran Advantage
Handling hot, heavy, forging parts and nasty die-casting scrap can present special challenges for any conveyor. Mayfran’s engineering expertise in this application ensures that your conveyor will be built to last.
Custom design features include reinforced belting to absorb impact and dissipate heat, special cleats, variable speed drives, chain lubricators, and load bars to limit deflection of the belt under impact.
Laser Cutting
A Robust, Low-Maintenance Solution for Abrasive Scrap
With no moving parts to come in contact with abrasive laser dust, the Mayfran Shuffle Drive Conveyor is perfectly suited to an application which destroys most other types of conveyor, keeping the machine running and maximizing uptime.
It can be installed below the cutting area or under the exchange table to improve material capture and overall work cell cleanliness. It can be integrated right into the machine or installed in a pit underneath. Material can be elevated into a chip bin by adding a specially-designed transfer conveyor.
Machining
Mayfran has a complete range of chip and coolant management solutions for machining applications, from machine tool level to centralized facility-wide systems for chip handling and processing and coolant filtration.

Central chip handling systems complement Mayfran’s machine tool products by automatically collecting and transporting chips to central processing systems. Chip processing can add value, recover coolant, and help meet stringent environment regulations regarding chip disposal.

Two of the biggest hidden costs in metalworking are cutting fluid consumption and the cost of poor quality from coolant deterioration. From machine tool level coolant cleaning to central filtration systems, Mayfran provides high ROI solutions to optimize your operations and help you gain a competitive edge.
Recycling
The Mayfran Advantage
Mayfran has a long history of designing, manufacturing, installing, and maintaining heavy-duty hinged steel belt conveyors for feeding balers, shredders, hammer mills, and similar process equipment.
